Ethylene glycol is a synthetic, odorless, sweet tasting liquid that absorbs water and  It is hazardous solvent to the environment.  It is used in many applications like preservative, screen cleaning, manufacturing of vaccines, capacitors, used as rot and fungal in wood treatment, in consumer products like paints, plastic, cosmetics and ink pads.
