3-Chloro-1-phenylpropan-1-one  used as a working standard or secondary reference standard in the quality control and quality assurance of bupropion and related formulations, used in toxicity study of dug formulations,  and it has strong bactericidal properties against susceptible and drug resistant gram positive bacteria.
